About this Event
14500 E. 12 Mile Road, Warren, MI 48088
In Winter 2024, MMII offered a learning experience on Darnella Frazier, the then-teenager who recorded and shared the killing of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department. Within the discussion, students of Macomb Community College shared interest in an additional event where we can each learn how we may become active members of a community seeking change and equality for people of color. In this discussion of campus activism, we will be exploring the Minnesota Campus Compact’s Social Change Wheel 2.0 and University of Kansas’ School of Education & Human Sciences’ “15 Ways to Advance Social Justice in Your Community” list.
