Operation Frequent Wind concluded more than two decades of U.S. involvement in Vietnam and was the final phase in the evacuation of American civilians from Saigon, South Vietnam, before the North Vietnamese Army took over the city. Over two days, the U.S. evacuated over 7,000 people by helicopter and, now, 50 years later, we will discuss the significance of the event and the humanitarian legacy.
