The United States has 63 national parks that include 423 sub-units, all of which have been congressionally designated. These protected areas are as diverse in landscape as the citizenship surrounding them, and they reflect cultural treasures notable to historians, members of the military, preserve admirers and everyday recreation enthusiasts. In this creative learning opportunity, we’ll learn more about our national park system, view stunning pictures, discuss the physical and biological sciences within parks and conclude by sketching in our own official national park journals.
