DESCRIPTION:Bob’s segment of this class is a lighthearted introduction to
astronomy as a hobby. We will cover topics such as size\, what stars\, pl
anets\, moons\, meteors\, and galaxies are made of\, and where they fit in
to the Summer sky. We will talk about distances in space\, how fast\, and
the search for life beyond earth. Bring your questions for us to answer.\n
\n Angelo’s presentation will cover the latest discoveries in astronomy
over the past 25 years. Included will be new discoveries in our own solar
system as well as planets around other stars. The uplifting discovery of t
he building blocks of life elsewhere in the universe will also be covered.
