The Macomb College Police Department is once again offering “Emergency Preparedness & Situational Awareness” training for faculty, staff, and students.  The 1 ½-hour training session combines presentation, demonstration, discussion, and hands-on exercises covering the following topics:  

• How to respond during an active shooter incident 
• What to do to control traumatic bleeding  
• Familiarization with hands-only CPR 
• How to operate an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)   
• Bystander Intervention strategies 
• Knowing the risks of drugs and alcohol 
• Campus security awareness & personal safety 

Faculty and staff are encouraged to take advantage of this important training opportunity.
