A favorite hobby topic returns!  This class on United States coin collecting will focus primarily on U.S. hard coinage dating back from its early inception in 1793 to the present. The course will cover basic history, coin design types and denominations, and coin value appraisal. Whether an accomplished coin hobbyist or a casual observer, this class will prove to be of great interest.

About the Presenter: John Bieda has long been involved in coin collecting as a hobby and a study of history. He is a member of the American Numismatic Association and Polish American Numismatic Society and has taught various engineering courses at local community colleges and universities for over 37 years. He is currently working as a senior staff reliability engineer in the defense industry.
