Overview: This hands-on workshop is designed to guide small and medium-sized businesses through the process of self-certifying for  Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1, using the free tools available on the  Project Spectrum platform. Participants will learn how to interpret and implement the 15 foundational cybersecurity practices required to safeguard Federal Contract Information (FCI), and how to document their compliance for submission to the  Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS).

What You’ll Learn:

• Introduction to CMMC Level 1 and its importance for DoD contracting
• Overview of the 15 basic cybersecurity controls across six domains:
  • Access Control
  • Identification and Authentication
  • Media Protection
  • Physical Protection
  • System and Communications Protection
  • System and Information Integrity
• How to complete a self-assessment using Project Spectrum’s interactive tools
• How and what to document for your self-assessment score
• Submitting your score to SPRS via PIEE

Workshop Format:

• Live demonstrations of Project Spectrum’s platform
• Guided walkthrough of each control with real-world examples
